Most efficient way to gather/saw logs and planks for building? Hydrocraft

Anyone know an efficient method of storing/gathering/transporting both items?

It doesn't feel like the time it takes to turn either into stacks - > pallets is worth it, as I'm constantly dropping and picking everything up.

Rather than just taking a few logs on a pallet truck and sawing them on my sawstool thing in the centre of my construction area.

The pallet only seems to help save time moving long distances. If you need to move close by i find the best way is pick up 4 logs saw them while they are in your inventory them put them in a stack so you can move faster this way you are only picking up 4 items instead of 12. And if you need to drop its only one item to drop while they are in a stack.

you can put there about 20+ logs at once
then stand near station and saw all - planks will drop on the floor - so youll get about 80+ planks in one place (actually there is no limit...)
