Can you hook a generator up to gas station to siphon fuel?
just curious to see if that would start the pumps

Yes, it's how you power gas stations after the power is shut off.

There's a great spot south of Rosewood for setting up a base camp if you're planning on using generators. It has a lake (infinite water for crops and fishing!), a gas station, and two warehouses down the road to the east for nails and whatnot.

Yes, but be sure to look over the Generator every once and a while. The condition, noise, and fumes it gives off can be an issue depending how you place it and how clear the area is.

I would suggest you build a wall of cars if possible to prevent zeds from getting to you and those pumps. Granted, you only need access to just one to get infinite fuel.

I think you need to read a generator guide first, to be able to connect them to pumps. Unless they changed that.

I am playing the new game build after 2 years pause, and currently squatting in the fire depot north of that lake. Never played in Rosewood before.

Why would I need to look over the generator every once in a while? Just turn it on when you need to use it and turn it off when you are done. If you turn it on sporadically like I mentioned then you'll die of other causes waaaay before the generator condition becomes an issue.

This. If you are only using it intermittently, you don't have to worry about the condition too much. Keeping the area clear of zeds is a more pressing matter.

Yeah 100% no reason to leave the generator on unless you are basing in said gas station. Turn it on, get your fuel, turn it off otherwise.

I keep a campfire just north of the gas station I mentioned earlier. Wide open field, perfect for an occasional zombie burn if It's been many days since I last needed gas.

Right. I was just saying that clearing zeds is more of a worry than the condition of the generator.
