It is a disease you are not skilled to know about. There are two diseases early farmer can recognise. I believe recipe is out there or that recipe comes from a skill book.

The disease won’t have a meaningful effect if you have other crops. Just work in the farming skill. Application of plant cure if it’s seedling spray in 5s, if it’s young spray in 10s and if it’s big 15 or 20, generally keep spraying the same plant until it says cured. It takes no time to cure its as much spray as you apply will cure it on the day

there are 3 diseases in the game.

Pest flies. Cure it water mixed with cigarettes in a garden sprayer. if you catch it early, within the first few days. only 5 is needed to cure it and it will say cured immediately.
Pest flies cause the plant to consume more water.

Mildew. Cure it with milk in a garden sprayer. (rotten works too, so don't worry). It typically only takes 5 to cure it. but sometimes an additional spraying of 5 or 10 later will cure it. Mildew makes your plants grow slower.

Devil's Water Fungi. There is no cure and the only way to save your crop is to dig up the infected plants. it will spread to other plants directly next to it, but this is not a problem if you plant in a grid with at least 1 tile between every crop. Disease can not spread if the plants are not touching one another. Devil's Water Fungi causes plants to grow slower and to have a decreased yield.

If you have read the farmer's magazine and can't treat the plants for either mildew or pest flies. I'm afraid it's the Devil's Water Fungi that is infecting it.

Yeah i have 0 skill in farming and only know the recipes from a magazine, i kept missing the show due to a hectic start, the carpentry show is the only one i managed to catch regularly on the tv lmao. So i have no skill at all to treat the plants then. Time to just let them grow, harvest and gain exp, and then treat/remove when i can i guess.

Could be the DWF too yeah, though didnt that one only show up after a plant being infected with one of the other two multiple times? then again could have been changed too. its just a tiny farm right now so ill see what happens, and try to gain exp

Devil Fungi is the most common disease I have come across. I read that it will form when you have the other diseases that have gone untreated for a period of time. This is not accurate as I commonly get DWF before any other disease. I assumed it was either a bug or they changed the code to where you can get it without the other diseases.

don't bother curing anything, just plant the crops 2 tiles apart
