lightbulb durability
Is there any way to see their condition? Or is their burnout just a RNG going off at certain intervals?

Also, i couldn't find anything on the workshop.. But maybe there's any modder out there who would like to look at increasing their lifetime?
I've got a base with ~10 lights. In the second day after kicking the generator into action, i had already changes 6 lightbulbs. That's ridiculous..

That's probably the best you are going to get, to answer your first question though you can check the condition of bulbs by using the mechanics menu on a car and replacing the headlight, or just hovering over the replace menu to see conditions of lightbulbs.

Let there be light works fine but doesn't affect lightbulbs. It doesn't need to. THE WINNING STRATEGY to using player made constructions is getting some electrical skill, confiscating as many outdoor lights as possible, then using those for your buildings instead of lamps. Outdoor lamps do not need bulbs and never run out. :cherrypie: :spiffo:

Strange, i am pretty sure for me one bulb just gone out in an outdoor lamp. It was an old game though, when i was building the road in rosewood. I had two outdoor lamps, and one of them did not work after a while.(I missed out the power out, so when i turned on the generator i noticed it not working, turns out the bulb went puff.)

Also you can check the durability of the bulbs, by installing them in cars, not sure if it will show decreasing numbers if used in lamps though.

I believe lightbulbs in lights just burn out without durability loss, all or nothing.

Dude, I have so many light bulbs, not to mention electric wire, amplifiers and batteries that I can't burn trough all of it in a lifetime. There's not enough crafting options for some stuff, so it piles up after a while. The only issue for me is the bother of having to replace them often. Try to keep the number of lights to a minimum possible, only in key places like main gates and such and only use the others when you work in that area of the base. Most important, try to build a habit of turning off any lights once you done your business in that area. It also helps having replacement bulbs stashed as close as possible to your lamps.

Could've sworn i replied to the mod suggestion up there.. hm.
Either way, i'm talking about electrical lights that you "steal" from other houses. They go through bulbs so fast it's not even fun.
As Verudez says; You can turn off lamps that you don't need at a given moment etc.. In my opinion that's a lot of work though. I've got night at the darkest setting to make night dangerous.. If i start turning off lights in my base, that means running into boxes, walls or other stuff to find the lightswitch :P

I currently have 22 lightbulbs. I've lived for 1 month and 16 days. Electricity has been out for 2 days and has consumed 6 lightbulbs.
These bulbs are from dismantling every radio etc i come across.. I COULD take out the lights of every car i see as well, but i mean.. They are going to run out. The world isn't infinite.
At this rate, they're gonna run out fairly quick to be honest.

If i recall well there is one of the dismantleable tech items you can find on zeds that can produce a light bulb. Not 100% sure though.

Did you try clicking it back on?

Light bulbs burn out waaay too fast. I'm constantly having to change bulbs every couple days. I'm using outdoor lamps I took from other houses. I have them spread throughout my base and every day at least one is out. They need to be able to burn longer than a couple days.

Thats strange cause I change mine maybe once per week minimum.

Even once a week is too often

Sorry just noticed this reply:)

Cant recall, if it even had a button to turn it on.
There are some outdoor lamps at houses that have normal buttons on walls, those usually I could not click. (Or i was very bad at mouse aiming and never finding the actual gear.)
So i cant recall which one was it, but both were turned on, and one was still working after the power out, the other was not. and both were originally on.
