Can burglers not hotwire cars anymore?
my character is a burgler and I cant hotwire cars without the necessary skills, I thought I could as the burgler profession? did they update that?

Are you sure? I don't think you do since I've hotwired cars right off of a new game.
Im trying to hot wire right now

but its not working pressing V my character is the burglar profession still nothing

No you don’t I’m on 41 now as burglar and it’s fine.

I swear that's exactly what I'm doing, does it have to do with the version?

Want to give a bit help there...
i already see a similar weird bug with the burglar thing and it's after create a character inside an existing game (second character and oters after) but if you come back to main menu and reload your game (and then have character creation screen, from unload save game) then you be able to use burglar things...
try it and see if i'm right...

It’s only in the beta branch, build 40 burglar doesn’t start with hot wiring

It works just fine, the car needs to has fuel in it. You cant turn over an engine if there is no gas. That is why you hear a spark sound when trying to hotwire an empty car the spark plug cannot ignite anything.

thank you. this actually fixed my problem.
at first it didnt show an option to hotwire a car when i was pressing V.

after that i tried choosing "load" from the main menu instead of "continue". I dont know why but the hotwire option just appeared when i pressed V.

PS. I didnt have any screw driver in my inventory btw as i seen someone mentioned it.
