Irrelevant, the game will always write to the location I posted.

If the Lua folder is not present then you don't need to do anything, if it is present then delete it.

well i looked in the path you gave me,didnt see anything that could be the lua folder but the problem persists
im trying to play on build 40,gave up on trying to fix for build 41 (plus specs too low)

im going to verify file integrity but besides that do you have any suggestions

i litterally cannot open the game to get to main menu on build 40,and on build 41 it might be a combination of mods and other problems like my low specs

also i validated the game files and nothing changed

Delete the "lua" and "mods" folder in the Zomboid folder. Both of them have to be there unless deleted previously.

In that case, can you share your console log?
Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid
Open the console.txt
Copy everything from there to https://controlc.com/
Click “Submit”
Share the given link to the ControlC paste here.

alright

There isn't too much detail in the console other than it seems to load at the textures. Perhaps due to the PC not being able to handle them?
Either way I would recommend checking out this guide for it:
