Oh and the window thing is because windows are transparent, thus you can be seen through one...
Also if your lights are on zeds can see your shadow through the curtains.
Crouching doesn't make you completely silent. Even with maximum crouching/stealth skill theres a tinly probability that you will be heard. Also, closing the curtains prevents zombies them from seeing you, but it doesn't prevent them from seeing the lights, which they seem to be attracted to from short distance, such as when your external lamps are on. Zombies are also attracted to dead bodies, and you might had some near your house. There's plenty of things to consider, but one way or another, you're never completely safe with zeds roaming about.
I don't think these two cases has anything to do with one another.
I fail to see how that is a problem still. Firearms are generrally not a very good weapon against zeds. I believe it is primarily useful for PvP and for upcoming big game hunting. Ammo is running out isn't that much of a problem because firearms are only useful for few specific cases.
Otherwise, the custom sandbox can both support item respawning and zeds not respawning, so change whichever you see as a bigger problem. Playing custom sandbox does not infrnige on any features such as achievements like it often is the case in other games. There's little point in getting angry over what you always had the control over to begin with.
This isn't true either. Sheets block light and zombies aren't attracted to dead bodies at all. I do believe that they can be attracted by outer lights though,
Remember that "CLICK" sound you hear when you turn on the lights? that is it.:P
Indeed so be careful where you place your generator, beside its sound, it is a bit troublesome when the only illuminated lamp post is right beside, before, behind, next to your base:)
Also...SNEAK even in your base. It is hillarious how sometimes they hear you from outdoors.
Zeds can drop shotgun ammo/shotguns axes, pistols and numerous other rare drops, so no, it is not unfair.
You can dismantle literally anything for resources.
You will die long before you can dismantle the entire world.
You can farm/forage/trap/fish for endless food.
If you really want, add in mods that allow you to craft the certain things you want.
Can you confirm it? I really suspect of that. In previous games I used to move all the corpses outside the house but in my current one I haven't yet and all the times when I come back from looting there are at least one inside. I think that the flies sound attract them jajaja.
