Getting over a cold.

I think my character has had a nasty cold for maybe 3-4 days now, I've been plenty warm and have stayed fed. Am I doing something wrong or does it take longer?

Nope. You're doing everything you should be. Keep a tissue equipped to muffle your sneezes.

Make some chicken noodle soup. (It doesn't help.... or does it?)

PZ Chicken soup: Chicken (or Small Bird), carrot, cabbage, pasta.

Pasta can be found in home kitchen cabinets or restaurant kitchens.

It depends on the traits you have for your character. If you have a good immune system, you should be fine. Yes, it does take longer but to speed up the process make sure you have napkins so your character isn't constantly sneezing and drawing unwanted attention. Medicine will come in handy for the cold.
