Randomly Burning Houses?

Yes I know, for a house to burn down that the player has visited usually means leaving the oven on, starting a fire on purpose, having a generator blow up.

Long story short, I walk a couple houses down from the one I am using, start tearing about furniture to help build skill and when I come back, the house has been burned with everything in it.
I didnt leave the oven on and the generator I have sitting inside the house has no gas in it. I also have no sources of flame anywhere.

So, what burned the house down? Did random burning get changed for build 41?

There is a setting for 'special' houses in sandbox. Many times these will be survivor houses or story houses. 'Burned down' is one of the outcomes. If you already visited this house before though, I'm wondering if you did something or allowed something else to happen.

Had a similar instance, drove past the docs house in muldrough, too many zeds to pillage it. A few days later, got a cop car, ready to do a pied piper, get round and its a burnt out wreck?

Perhaps it's truly dynamic now. I play with meta events way up in the settings, so this goes well with the chaos I like to create anyway.

If that were the case, it should be a bug. An older thread made mention that fires don't start randomly.

If only to theorize, I'd take a guess that the predetermined event that a house 'burned down' somehow was overwritten and manipulated a previously undamaged house.

Only speculation, as strange things can and will occur.

It either has to be purposeful or a bug. I didnt leave anything running that would have caused it.

It could just as well be a mod causing the effect.
