Injuries
Maybe i didnt play long enough but it seems there are no injuries in the game except cutting yourself on glass? (zombies i dont count )
I can jump from a building without breaking my leg,nor have i seen any other broken bone mechanic yet, what are splints used for?
theres so many medical tools in the game but barely anything to treat with it?
for example running around tired and overweight should give you risk of hurting your ankle, tripping when sprinting could bruise your knees, working with wood could randomly give you splinters in your hand that need to be removed with tweezers.

getting hurt by zombies usually means death anyway in most cases so i think there should be more passive / environmental things that can damage your character.

Just a few:
Running through trees or bushes can rip your clothes and scratch you.
Smashing into a tree while driving fast can seriously mess you up and even kill you.
Tripping on a fence when running and jump can cut you.
Not wearing your socks while walking on broken glass can injure your foot
Sprinting (ALT) can make you trip up sometimes, happens more often when changing terrain, and can seriously mess up your shin and your character will move much slower
Vaulting waist-high obstacles can scratch your leg, you can sometimes vault but then fall and injure your leg, too
You can fail when vaulting high fences and walls. Not sure if this can hurt you.
That's it, I think.

TBH I think guns should damage your hearing. Causes a temporary head injury that can't be immediately treated, especially when used indoors.

For most part a careful player won't get hurt much. So yeah, you only have to never heal as you'll just get infected by a single scratch and restart.

yeah thats pretty much the issue for me. i think there should be more "dangers" that can hurt you / slow you down and just make your live more miserable

Are you playing on b41? The injury system is pretty complex imo, between exercise fatigue all the way up to deep wounds and lacerations, with differing bleedout levels based on injured area. Splint and other tool/bandage applications have heal amounts influenced by skill.

yes its deep but there isnt many ways to even get an injury in the first place thats why i made this thread.

I think the injury / healing system will have more relevance when we have animals and other humans trying to kill us

What exactly would you suggest would give injuries than what's already in place? It's not like people go day to day getting random injuries all the time.

Tellya what: Find a friend, get on remote play and hand him a baseball bat, then tell him to go to town on you, after which you can jump out a second-or-third floor window through broken glass into a bunch of bushes that are on fire. Maybe toss in a few zombies on top of that and see what your health screen looks like if you're still alive.

It might just be because I am a newbie(literally just got the game yesterday) but I keep getting all messed up. Half of it is from fighting a zombie with stuff like a butter knife and half from smashing in windows or running through forests. Also in the newest beta build it doesn't seem getting hurt by the zombie is as fatal(one place online said it was only 7% chance to get infected if you get scratched, which seems right since I healed a bunch of zombie scratches and was okay).

I'm not sure what you are trying to say with this.

I was just illustrating just a few of the ways you could receive injuries in the game, all at once, in response to a comment about how there is a lack of variation on injuries.

one of the settings in sandbox is injury severity
