Towing vehicles - how to turn off braking?

I have figured out how to hook the two vehicles together, but no matter if I start the towed vehicle and put in neutral, with leave key in ignition enabled the towed vehicle bogs down my tow vehicle as if the brakes are on.

I installed the Better Towing mod and from inside towed vehicle turned off parking brake. Still does not roll without much resistance.

*bumping* - is towing not working yet? It almost works vanilla, but that parking brake...grrr. Anyone have any ideas at all? Or is it like this for everyone atm?

I was just coming back to post again, some strange things can be expected on cutting edge beta's and this one is no exception. I went into my newb character I started to make sure my old char was not corrupt, and this time ( 3rd time in game ) I was able to tow with no problem. Well, the green door/trunk outlines disappeared but quit/continue fixed that.

when i tow and the car is on ''handbrake'' or something i just release and try again.
sometimes switch sides helped and sometimes just retowing it seems to work.
not always tho.

@PowerofWill that has been my experience so far on the new things they put in, but inconsistent is better than zero, I applaud the devs for releasing stuff that mostly works. Not many do that.

hey, once you have two cars hooked
get into the car you want to hook and press ,, V ''
then you should find the parking break

Thanks for the input. I had found that out, but originally (and 1 time yesterday) the brake was acting like it was not released. The first time, the towed vehicle could only be pulled a couple feet before it bogged my tow vehicle down. I never did get that one to move. Anyway, it is a bit buggy but the new game I am playing is working better, just not great ;)
