anotated maps leading to nothing
hey.

sorry I dont mean to spam.

I have 2 annotated maps for march ridge that each have a house with a note that says theres a gun.
each house has a duffel bag on the floor, but in both cases its empty. no gun to be found on the rest of the houses too.

is there a limited time to reach the destination after you find an annotated map or something? or is there some RNG involved too?

thanks in advance.

Same, I've seen this but I'm not sure if this is tied to one of the many mods I run or a new bug due to the recent update. The difference here is, there is nothing annotated on the map. It's merely named Annotated Map and it's just a regular map.

Send a screen of the annotated map and then an image of you at the destination

Can be a hidden cache, check the floorboards. There will be tiles that look open, if you pin the loot screen and walk over the floor you should find a cache

really? ah crap. I though the fact that both houses had duffel bags laying on the floor conveniently meant thats where the bounty is supposed to be.
if I go back there ill check that. thanks for the info.

Yes, you can also hear the floor "squeak" if you walk on top of it.

Don't feel bad. I have over 1000 hours in the game and just learned this last week.

Just an update to explain. (I've been digging into the code and the duffels make sense) the annotated maps did spawn in those duffels as a container for the loot, they probably also spawned in extra loot in the kitchens and bathrooms. HOWEVER they only tell the game to spawn in more loot to those duffels and counters by defining that they are a "gun case" and then designating a loot pool to spawn from. The game then uses your loot settings to RNG the amount of loot. So if guns are super rare, you might get nothing. Or if one of your mods has replaced the "guncache" loot pool or mulched with it you might not get anything spawned in.
