Hey if you're the "challenge guy" you should make a challenge involving collecting one each of all the decorative stuff or whatever around the map and then putting it in a large building I.E the Country Club as a kind of Zomboid Museum. That'd probably be neat to watch. Collecting all the paintings, all the various objects that go unused like toilets, street and shop signs, pay phones, etc. Maybe even mannequins with clean and whole themed clothing sets like Police, Ranger, Firefighter, Military and Spiffo Mascot etc, outfits as well. Compile a list, design the most ideal world settings for them, and then see who can achieve it in the shortest amount of time. Assuming you haven't designed a challenge like that already.
I'd probably watch something like that, anyway
Me and my friend have a challenge going on amongst ourselves, in both of our campaigns we've set a goal to be the first one to fill a duffelbag completely to capacity with money, as well as source a full suit ensemble plus surgical gloves that aren't mostly ruined or covered in blood. If we can do that, then we're prepared to walk away from the outbreak in style, at least how we imagine it lol. Unofficially I refer to it as the Payday challenge. It's probably already been done, though.
That's because many don't have the decency to give credit when due. I've had Cromulent Archer correct that unintentional mistake but, at the same time, I cannot blame them for only caring about their own success and not taking a second to properly link the guides. Actually, at the time, the rules were only clearly explained on my discord. I made the official guide after the insistence of the community. Initially, the challenge was meant to be only between a few streamers, but many took interest in it and wanted to be part of it. Hence the particular circumstances.
Due to my critical nature, I have had a fallout with the project zomboid developers and I'm banned from using their reddit platform, which I have never really used before. That's probably why you don't know of me. Everyone thinks Cromulent Archer came up with this. If you're doubtful of me, you can ask him. He will confirm it.
I thought of doing that but someone already made it. It's called the Spiffo challenge. I didn't want to just copy it. My challenges aim to improve the players, as many think of OPYC as the ultimate test but it really isn't. It's not that hard. I don't really see what I could be helping you improve with a quest to gather specific decorative items. That sounds like a lot of fun, though!
Don't worry, I have more challenges ready to be revealed. Some are pretty unique.
Here, I can even prove my claims with a picture.
Here's a picture of my discord [gyazo.com] showing that Cromulent Archer is part of it, including some of the other participants.
The official leaderboard (had someone colourblind make it) can be looked at here. [cdn.discordapp.com]
Cromulent Archer asked me permission to air it on Youtube, which I have granted at the request that I was properly represented but that part was omitted in his first video. He briefly mentions me and butchers my name. I reprimanded him and he corrected that mistake a few videos later. I believe that information can easily be verified.
The irony lmfao
Whenever somebody suggests this challenge, do you think they're always going to mention that it was created by you? I can't think of anybody who does that when they mention a challenge idea. They just want the details of how to do the challenge.
Plus, if one guy forgets the name and starts telling other people about it, everybody else forgets the creator's name anyway and that's not really their fault. You're making it sound like all of these people are self-centered jerks who've wronged you.
What's wrong with people putting their own spin on the challenge as well? Make it more fun for themselves. It's also how you can get cool new challenge hybrid ideas.
Okay. I'm mostly just sharing my challenges. You commented that you had never heard of me, which suggested that you doubted the veracity of my claims. I gave you an explanation. I'm not interested in getting an argument with you on the topic. Feel free to try out the challenges!
My apologies. I have fixed it. Thank you for pointing that out.
Ego? Why? Wouldn't you want to be proud of what you made? Wouldn't you be upset if someone else got the credit for what you made? How is that ego?
No sir lol.
Yeah, he did.
