Playing multiplayer in build 41.. on my phone

Yep you read the title right. Am playing Zomboid build 41 with a buddy using my phone.

This is how i do it.
Zomboid is being run on my home pc and streamed using the software called Parsec to the phone and to my friends computer. We are playing the game in "local co-op" (alto my buddy lives in a different town) using a controller each so the game is in splitscreen mode (which i kinda enjoy while playing 2p coop mode)

Currently am using a 8BitDo SN30 Pro controller and my friend is using a standard Xbox 360 wired controller, and we use Discord so we can talk while playing.. and this setup works just fine.. took a little getting used to playing like this and i had to get a bluetooth mouse for the phone since the game is not 100% gamepad compatible in all cases.. so i just use that for doing a few clicks where the controller cant do the job..

But all in all am having a super blast playing build 41 chilled back in my soffa screaming about "look behind you, we have more deadheads incomming" and "my char is starving you got any food?"

Game becomes more easy in combat being two ppl, however losing half your scree estate AND being forced to play with a gamepad adds to the difficulty curve... A LOT but we are enjoying our self so all is good.

You can already do this with Steam's "Steam Link" app, too!
What's the difference to Parsec (haven't tried it)?

Well, haven't tried playing to much using steam link. But parsec handles friends remoting in but only having access to the gamepads I assign to them (player 2, player 3 etc)

I played a lot of games with my friends using parsec such as streets of rage 4 (4 player mode), Trine, resident evil revol 2, splitscreen re6.. ect..

Could someone please explain? I hooked up a controller, and started remote play with my friend.. but I dont see any splitscreen or multiplayer option in 41. We rolled back to 39 and was able to play MP but 41 adds so much to the game it was hard to go back haha.

Steam remote play is available through the Steam Overlay and you invite your friend/s to play. After that (or before, not sure which) you just start a game, there is no specific splitscreen option it is simply available when you are playing.
