Does anyone ACTUALLY know how Sickness works?
I currently play multiplayer with a few friends, and within the first few days one of our characters ALWAYS becomes queasy and subsequently dies.

We play with zombie infection off. Nobody uses hypochondriac trait. We cook all food that needs to be cooked right until it switches from not fully green to barely red.

Every forum post I have found while searching for reasons for why someone would randomly get sick has the response of "well you probably just got bit" or "well hypochondriac did it" when the op clearly states that didn't apply. All the posts asking how to cure sickness never gives a definitive answer, its a lot of "well I think if you eat then maybe you'll get better?" We tried being constantly full, sleeping a lot, and even using admin to spawn in and just eat stacks of lemon grass with no effect.

It doesn't make sense to me that there is no proper answer of everything that has a chance of making you sick and how to cure sickness or prevent it once you become queasy. I highly doubt that becoming queasy is meant to be a death sentence. The game has been around for quite a while so I can't imagine nobody has bothered trying to find out code wise what causes sickness, especially when the percentages for getting infected by a scratch or a bite get thrown around so often.

You slowly get ill and eventually die if you hang around corpses too long. That's about all I've got, lol. I'm not sure if that's a 40 feature or a 41 feature either. Fairly certain the weather can also make you sick but rarely enough severity to actually kill you. Infections from wounds can kill you pretty quickly if you ignore them too, not the zombie infection but just a regular one.

Typically like you said, defeating sickness is possible at the "Queasy" and "Nauseous" stage just by eating enough to have positive hunger moodlets, while also taking it easy and staying at a stable temperature - that'll heal up you quick and outpace the damage the sickness causes, but by the time you get a Fever it's a lot harder to stay alive. That usually takes some time though and only gets to that state if you purposefully ignore it, in my experience anyway.

Only advice I can give you is go into debug mode where you can watch all of your characters stats accumulate or decline in real time, so you can find out just exactly what is triggering you to become sick by process of elimination, and then avoid it. It sounds like a bug or something if you're being melted alive by sickness but you're not doing anything specific to become ill in the first place while actively taking steps to cure it.
