Speed up time while walking?

I understand walking is a better choice over running everywhere, but walking is extremely dull and boring.

I just spent about an hour walking in a straight like with NOTHING else happening.
No zombies no buildings nothing, just a road and forest.

I find this quite annoying and would like to ask if theres any way I can speed up time while this is happening.

Theres a checkbox in options to turn off stopping time acceleration when done with an action. Haven't tested this myself, but I guess it might help with your problem

Right click "Walk to"

Then you can walk at faster time settings.

i cant find that option

It's under the accessibility option - "Resume normal spped when action complete" or something like that. But I don't think that'll help you..

As FR@NK said, use the mouse to walk with the "walk to" option, you can seed up time and keep clicking to walk.

Press Y to use click-to-walk without using the drop menu while time acceleration . I once walked from March Ridge to Dixie...
