Somebody PLEASE LET ME BUILD A WELL!
The title says it all! I really wish I could make one without having to install a Mod like Hydrocraft. Which it does let you do.. allegedly.

You can build a fresh water sink from a water barrel on the roof.

Living in the isolated cabins where are are wells does make an interesting game for a few hours.

Not too difficult to grind a little carpentry and construct a raincatcher framed offset above a sink you install.

allegedly.Become a builder Be a Builder only think Builder....... yes you can build a well but you have to gather the items needed that means work.

Okay, I heard that if you Venmo one of the mods, they'll hook you up with the ability to materialize a well out of thin air.
Perhaps this isn't true though. There are a number of maps available that have wells on them. Lake Ivy Township is my favorite of those, and one of the well sites is very defensible.
If you just have to have a well wherever you want, get Necroforge, head to a known spot that has a well, copy the tile information, then paste that information to a tile you want your well to occupy.

That actually sounds like a great Idea! Now I just have to come up with a suitable sacrifice of materials and do the deed!

I just wanted to say that I keep seeing the title of this thread and I keep initially seeing "PLEASE LET ME BUILD A WALL" and every time, I hear Trump whining in my head. Sorry for going off topic and a little political. It just kind of made me laugh.

Well, a wall of cars works really well in this game. Walls can work against zombies or hordes.

I'm aware, but that wasn't really my point. That said I don't really recommend car walls for bases, especially if you take long trips away from your base. That's how you come home to zombies inside your base.

Hasn't happened yet, and they don't get inside my carden (gardening area secured by cars) when I go away either.

I do want to try them in a crazy populated area, and see how it goes.

It's definitely more prevalent in populated areas. It's due to how zombies move around when they aren't being rendered on screen. Cars and pre-existing walls don't impede their movement while they are being simulated in the background. So if you are somewhere where there are very few zombies and they don't migrate out to you often, you won't really notice this much. But try it in a more densely populated area in West Point. Make some car walls and then go somewhere far away for a few in game days. I can almost guarantee that you'll come back to zombies beyond those cars and maybe even inside the house with no signs of a break in.

As for me - no cheating, if the process is done accordingly. It is necessary to dig the soil for several days or even weeks, the character would be very exhausted. It was necessary to constantly have a shovel, a rope, a ladder, a bucket or a bag for soil, the skill of a carpenter to create a lever and design the well itself.
