Removing built walls
Trying to enlarge footprint of base and built more walls enclosing existing one''s. I cannot seem to find an option to dismantle the existing walls to salvage the wood, etc?

Pre-existing structures can only be destroyed with a sledgehammer. They cannot be dismantled like furniture.

My apologies; I misunderstood you and didn't notice you said "built" in the thread title.

That being said, I'm actually not sure if you can dismantle finished, player-built walls. Maybe someone else can provide some insight.

You can't dismantle it but hit it with an axe and it should destroy the wall.

Works, only gives back 1 plank and 1 nail from a lvl2 wall, although does not seem to work on doorframes!

Sledgehammer is used for all of my destruction needs. At least once I find one that is.

And that is the problem on this map as well. WHERE IS IT??, Only found 1 axe as well, but got hammers and saws everywhere.

This. They also turn up in crates just about anywhere, but warehouses and storage units (in that order) are your best options as they usually contain a lot of crates.

Sledgehammers aren't very common spawns so it would be normal to take a while to find one.

True. it also helps if RNGsus is on your side. I've had games where I found one rather quickly and others where it's taken me a week or more. RNG is RNG after all.
