I drove through the region yesterday there is also a large hardware store it may be the same structure the town had been updated to what is displayed on this map. But indeed this is the fourth gunshop

Secret gunshop
Far north hunting gun shop
Westpoint gunshop

And this Gunshop

But beyond to the east there is a pony farm with very few zom. The square is surrounded by low fence with a visible pathway in the forest of which the pony walks.

Less population than Mulraugh, Rosewood, March Ridge and West Point especially.

I see it like this population to value ratio aaaaand March Ridge is just too damn condense with it's population to be of any value like that while Dixie has alot of bang for the pop it has.

I know in Build 40 it was one of the most perfect places. But besides that being how things are so random and zombies migrate around etc you'd have a better time there.

IMO it's like McCoy's - a holy grail. Sometimes McCoy's has zero zeds. So either of these two places you couldn't go with.

After that I'd say Rosewood is the third best option. I either go to Dixie, McCoy's or that usually.

Oh yes much smaller than the major regions. But is no cakewalk. Though a nice fence is blocking vision to the area of interest from the residential. So sneak is very viable here. It’s also easy to get them away from the gas station and lake. Which has an amazing proximity potential for a base and small farm without a need for trapping.

You can go in guns blazing is my theory, and park up by the lake. But do the shooting up in town towards fence side residential and slip away if needed. Problem is that south side residential would like to move all those zom north so that you don’t get circled.

The run back to the car should be safe if you move everyone from the lake

Ofcourse - I mean you're always gonna have to clear an area out but it's like I said pop to value ratio. Some areas are far easier and harder than others to clear out and my best bit of advice in terms of that for new players is don't go to March Ridge or West Point yet.

The only reason I've been spawning in West Point as of late is due to lots of experience, it has alot going for it despite the massive zed count and I use it as a training ground. Otherwise it's a total death sentence for the unprepared.

Alternatively there is a that is it a three story gas station? Or is that a two story? I don’t remember; but anyway; one could knock out the staircase, and fire a rifle from the upstairs windows if you have the ammo capacity. Idk about this strategy, maybe if I set up some alarm clocks. I can draw them over with the rifle and the alarms will ring later on and clear them away out the downstairs. This could be an effective way to use the rifle.

Take 1000 rounds, is probably not enough. But if you’re trapped on a second story doing a sniper bunker with no carpentry skill and only alarm clocks as jumpscare security. If it’s possible to view the angles of the floor below you it could be safe to sheet rope the structure. Have evening alarm clocks drawing them back out to the road. In two layers one close to the building and one across the road. Then each morning wake up and snipe them for a while aggro them up they forget about you when you stop shooting can’t reach you. And repeat

Need food though in case the strat fails and a horde refuses to leave the downstairs or stands by your sheet rope

I'm a little more ballsy than the average player - I go with just about anything I can think of - even driving my truck dead center into the town and going nuts with the shotgun. Attracting all of em' in that 200 tile radius - clump em' together and get a few good hits in. Managed to kill like... 10 or so in one blast - if you circle around them and kite.

This is one of the greatest, if not thee greatest thing about Zomboid; that sheer amount of freedom you have to do whatever you want - the only limitation is your imagination.

Sometimes I'll take cop cars, park em' somewhere and lure zeds in by the sirens as I sneak around doing what I do. Then when I"m done I'll just toss a molotov in the center of the ♥♥♥♥-show and watch em' all burn.

Sometimes I don't care about the surrounding area getting destroyed by fire as I got the rest of the map to play with.

If they ever add in flamethrowers or rocket launchers I'm gonna HAM. I'll be dangerous as hell.

Sometimes I do ♥♥♥♥ for sport like fire a gun off randomly and play with them.

If I locked down at that gas station and do the sniper run, eating jarred food, I will take Molotov as reserve, but they don’t count on the kill feed so will try not to use them. But take the two alarm clocks or however many I can find at the compound, and set them up by the tool shop to drag them that way. I take a sledge to destroy the stairs, and then il knock out the upstairs walls so I have really nice vision of everywhere, set up a tent, and start rifling the the population on routine with the alarms until it’s totally safe.

From what I can tell Dixie Trailer Park and Dixie are two totally different things. On the PZ map the Farming & Rural Supply store is in the Dixie section.

I mean, two totally separate places can share the same name. It's not unheard of.

Yeah, that's good too... I always thought gas-stations in general would make great bases if you have fuel set to infinite. There's one way up towards the north corner of the map where a rest area is and that is super secluded with just a short drive from each spot.

I should mention the helicopter and noise as it's a very important event; alot of people are afraid of it but sometimes I use it to my advantage by hopping into my car and driving around luring zombies all over - spreading them out until the helo leaves.

If you can loot this sweet shop before you loot all shells from westpoint gunshop on day one you’ll have a very good time with candy and chocolate while you move to the farmlands to spend your ammo. It’ll keep you alive while the initial zom slaughtering takes place

It was unfortunate that the Farming and Rural Supply also didnt stock propane off the shelf :| i did manage to get a box of jars, but without the sugar they are useless. I coulld'nt get into the gun part yet as there were 2-500 zombie just out the back of this place. Didnt want to be trapped after sledging it. I had to go back to safe house and collect a diffenrnt pistol with many magazines prepared and ready to go because of my shells are critical and there are still hundreds to kill before i can truely benefit from this gunshop.

This shop is so dangerous to loot, the gun room is choked to one exit unless you sledge anjother way out. Be careful. I manage to loot enough .44 and Shotgunshells to finish the town but couldnt hang around in there due to the insane choke, didnt check all cabs coulld be an m14 in there.

Rifle is slow very slow 223.

Bookshop nice
