And dangerous for the operator to boot.
Anyone who has ever used a chainsaw IRL for any length of time, knows how finicky and temperamental those things are to keep running on a good day. They WANT to break down, all the time. The chain must be kept oiled, must be sharpened, etc etc.
Once the "bar" on a chainsaw goes out of perfect alignment, which would happen almost immediately if you are slamming a chainsaw into human bodies, the chain will fly off. And probably kill YOU. Or bind up on clothing or flesh. At best, stop running.
A chainsaw is designed for a single purpose: to slowly cut through a uniform solid material (wood, ice) containing no other foreign objects. And that is it.
Yes, a running chainsaw is intimidating to most people. But for actual killing, almost anything else is better. Crowbar, aluminum baseball bat, etc. Using a chainsaw as a combat weapon does not exist outside of Hollywood or video games.
Any discussion about using a chainsaw for anything like real life combat is ridiculous
and stupid and not realistic at all.
Still better than a spoon i guess ;D
