Take apart lamps, tvs, radios, clocks, watches, etc to train the skill.
Most houses have tvs, you first need to pick them up, then when its in your inventory you can disassemble.
You will need lvl 1 electrical with lvl 2 mechanics to hotwire cars.
Lvl 3 electrical to move a clothes washer to clean clothes at your base.
Getting it any higher may be a waste of time.

Beside the usual electrical items (radios, walkie talkies, headphones...) some electrical furnitures can be dismantle too for a good amount of xp.

You can pick up tv's and dismantle in your main inventory.

Public phones, clocks on the walls, electrical oven and lamps in bedrooms and on desks can be dismantled by right clicking on it.

Don't forget the radios in cars, a good way to level up both of electrical and mechanical skills at the firsts levels.

At last, with the 3 guerilla's reciepes and some superglue, you can craft your owns radios and talkies.

Nevertheless, crafting noise generators doesn't provide any xp.

I hope i answered your question.

Take everything apart tv,s radios. If you see ambulance or cop car, they have ham radios in pull them out, lamps pick up tv's then tear them apart, every car has a radio that can be pulled apart.

Earbuds, on zombies, or headphones, every little bit helps, but I think tv.s and the heavy duty radios give most xp.

A Bonus question, What is the benefit of improving on Electricity at the moment? I'm dismantling stuff myself but only reasons I could find was helping with the generator and moving electronic stuff around.

That's basically it, but add to that the ability to hot wire vehicles.

Yep its hot wiring cars and keeping your generator alive, They are the really big bonuses, I think that is why its so slow to get up even with reading a book. Those two things alone can keep you going forever if you lucky enough never to get scratched, just keep a gen at a gas station, only turn it on when you need to, you have heat and ac in your car, keep enough gas cans on you so you can travel far, lots of places will still have food, in cans or chips, pop mac cheese etc.

Sleep in middle of nowhere you might get neck pain but that is no big deal, when you car starts to turn into crap, just find another good one and wire it.

Gets boring after awhile, but yeah you can live a long time, if you live on the road. It just comes with fighting unhappiness, books, comic books, cooking helps, and anti depressents.

Levelling electricity further just improves fuel efficiency, at least that's what I've noticed from my games.
Also, there's some good xp from creating makeshift radios with all the parts you get from dismantling. Only downside is you can't seem to dismantle them again.

Read the electricity book for level 1 and 2.
If i recall well that way you get 0.75 and 1.5 crafting xp for items.
0.75 for walkie talkies and radios, and 1.5 for tv-s.
You need level 3 electricity to be able to take ovens and install them.

yeah save all the parts from disassembling radios, lamps, tvs, and later dryers and ovens and then make makeshift radios. If you have the engineer skill you dont need the magazines. if you dont then there are 3 magazines which teach them. These are powerful. Get massive xp for making the radios. noise makers give nothing but are useful. i am using the hydrocraft beta mod but there is an option to make connections on lamps in bedrooms to use batteries. I dont know if that is in vanilla or not. but i am at almost 9 in electrical. best score i have ever had.
