but i advise against it i used it once took most the fun out of game
In solo player, no way as far as I know, expect by copying from time to time your world (C:/ > user > "username" > Zomboid > Saves > "gamemode of your save" > "your save's name"), and load it back when you die.
I agree with noctoskanan, though sometimes it can be justified... I did it once after I died because of 2 bugs (in the IWBUMS build) that were resolved the next patch (that were about zombies tracking you after loosing line of sight, and not having footstep).
I ask this because my friends keep dying
and we just start yesterday
because exp is hard to earn (and I don't want to change the multiplier)
they don't like lost everything when dying (but lost about 50% is okay)
BTW , I set
"safe house allow respawn" = true
"player respawn with self" = true
but my friends say they still spawn at random spot after dying
is there any problem? like I have to change other setting , so they can spawn at a point they choose
It can be useful if you're mostly interested in zombie hunting rather than the skill building parts of the game. Though I have found that this particular mod only works on solo; too many problems in multiplayer, like not being able to craft the skill recovery journal even with the correct materials.
Good luck ♥
On a side note, 2019 was a remarkable year in Japan, as it became the year of the 125th Emperor Akihito abdication.
First, being derisive of people for the way they enjoy playing a game shows a complete lack of understanding of what a game is, by definition: something to be enjoyed. Second, permadeath doesn't change the nature of any game. I am a chess player. If I was to lose all my ELO points on every defeat, that wouldn't make chess a different game. It would be the same game, just more stressful.
Moreover, If you are not a child, locked endless hours in his room, things happen around you. LIFE. Loosing a two months character for being interrupted by life is everything but enjoyable,
When you invest a lot of time into levelling a character, you get a real sense of loss when they die. So you can experience some fear when you find them in a risky situation.
Without a potential for real loss, you don't really feel anything more than an inconvenience when you lose a character. Push a couple buttons, reset the kill-odometer, all the heavy lifting is already done and you're good as new.
I'll bet plenty of people who find the game "boring" probably uses mods or cheat mode to get out of trouble, a lot.
"skills take a long time to learn"
If something takes too long, just get better at doing it. Maybe doing 1xp tasks when you could be doing 7xp tasks is why it takes so long.
"Games are meant to be enjoyed"
That true, and joy comes from making yourself better.
Fun, sure. But not easy. Blocked.
