What are the requirements to run a Project Zomboid server?

40.xx I ran a 20 slot server - old i5 processor with 16GB ram and a SSD. Ran without issue on Win10 with lots of mods/maps including Hydrocraft.

I'm personally gonna say, I'm anxious to see what animations will be like with the optimized netcode etc. I'm hoping my server will be good enough.

16 gb would be better, with around 14 gb for the server and 2 gb for the OS. That should cover a large number of players.

Ok so recommended server requirements are...

1. Quad Core CPU @ 1.8 GHz+
2. 8-16 GB of System Memory(Aka RAM, no Hard Drive space).
3. An Internet Connection that can support 100-200 kbps per player that will be on the server.

4. How much Hard Drive space will I need? Or this isn't really a concern? As long as you have a fairly modern hard drive with at least 20 GB of space, you are good?


Now are these requirements the same for a headless server on say a linux server distribution or they are less?
