Build 41 Borderline Unplayable
So I just hopped back into the game after being away for a year because of the 41 beta. I installed it and at first was blown away by all the additions and the combat is amazing now. But after about 10ish hours holy ♥♥♥♥ this is an exercise in misery. I dont know what they did to some key aspects of the game but its damn near unplayable. So issue number 1. IT. WILL. NOT. STOP. RAINING! Seriously all my runs but especially my most recent play through its been crazy. It rained for 16 straight days and never stopped for even a second! I spent all my time at the farm just reading and watching TV until! 2. The horde! So Ive always liked fighting the zombies but the spawn rate is borked. My base is in the ♥♥♥ end of nowhere on a farm outside of town and after sleeping i had to cull 20-30 zombies EVERYDAY! they just wandered in and would be standing in my drive way or living room. It would take hours to kill them in the rain and i was unable to see cuz of said rain. The zombies were not this numerous in the previous builds and it needs to be dialed back i literally cant even catch my breath. and 3. The HORDE AGAIN!!! this is what ended my most recent run. After 16 days i ran out of food so i drove into town with my ambulance to load up on some from a Spiffos but first i needed to get gas. The gas station was SWARMING with zombies. and this is a rural gas station but there were easily over 100 zombies just standing around. I turned on my siren to draw them away and after i lured them away ANOTHER horde of 100+ walked in off screen. I literally couldnt loot that station. So i went to another gas station SAME THING!!! 100+ zombies. Finally after an hour of sneaking I managed to get ONE can of gas and made my way to the resturaunt and AGAIN there were over 100 zombies just hanging around each of the buildings so in total there was easily 300-500 zombies in a 1 block radius. I managed to find a narrow blind spot and snuck in at which point the alarm went off on the UNLOCKED building mind you and the horde swarmed in less than a second. So i had 500 zombies out side a ♥♥♥♥in mcdonalds and i had to leave my ambulance with NO food no gas NO NOTHING! and out of desperation i went into a house i ran into to find SOMETHING but because of the rain i couldnt see and i got bit by a zombie that made no noise and its first attack was a bite. I literally didnt have time to react.

TLDR HOLY ♥♥♥♥ WHY WONT IT STOP RAINING AND FIX THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ZOMBIE SPAWN RATES!!!

Edit: Thanks for the info i didnt know i could tweak stuff like that in the sand box settings. On games like this i always try to leave it vanilla to get a truer experience. Imma go ♥♥♥♥ with that now!

That's why it is a BETA build, it's not ready yet.

Once it's all well and done, it will be released as a STABLE build.

ps.: You also can tweak the zombie spawn to your liking in the Sandbox Options, I always do this.

I'm having a blast with build 41. Came back from a long break and I've played nothing but PZ for 3 weeks now.

Never had 16 days of constant rain but like others have said all these issues can be tuned to your liking in the custom settings. I like it rough though, harsher conditions means more challenge to survive. I reckon you'll be saying it's too easy after a while and bumping zombies to runners.
16 days of rain you say? Seems like you should of planeted some seeds. The game spawns Zeds based on the cells you visit in game. So if there are areas you dont visit the Zed spawn count ramps up heavy in those areas. So because you spent most of your time inside in a rural part of town the rest of the town got heavily populated with Zeds. Not sure why you got so many wondering into your rural area though. I usually choose a house in Muldraugh in the south eastern area and after i do my initial clearing in the first few days i stay pretty safe from Zeds with the exception of a couple stragglers from meta events.

I did notice something interesting in trying to explore key locations outside of Muldraugh (lumber yard and warehouses to the south) have massive hordes spawn even within the first couple of days. Which i assume due to meta events those hordes eventually close in on your location.

As others have siggested you can always tweak your settings in sandbox. You may be upset about that bite now, but you can't ignore that little voice in your head that's saying "come on man, this time we can survive longer".

Just use sandbox and cofigure the game how you like it to be instead of flaming maybe.

If the game is too hard for you, or it rains too much, use sandbox settings

Sounds like you are playing AIZ Enhanced 2 AIO map mod. This mod is no longer supported or being updated, it might load but it is not compatible with build 41.

Helpful information could also be your sandbox settings or if you chose one of the presets and system specs as there are settings like "drag down" which I think are a bit OP so I turn that off. It's also the sandbox settings that change zombie spawn, horde sizes and the like. You should not have hordes of 500 zombies if your pc can't handle it. That isn't even close to vanilla settings.

You do realize you can adjust the weather and the zombie density to whatever you like, right?

I'm playing with AIZ2 right now and aside from the "Xonic" mega mall being glitchy AF it works just fine

Rural areas area no longer safe. Back of the prison is no longer safe. Have you tried the different settings?

16 days of rain? Sounds like you might have hit some 0.00000001% tier RNG with rain proc chances or you have something that makes rain go on forever like "Relentless rain" mod from the workshop or in game settings.
