Question about sleeping bags and tents! Unsolved after all..
Ok, I've been playing the game for a little while now and getting the hang of it, learning by trial and error..many..many..many errors which lead to deaths.

One thing I cannot figure out though is how to use the dome tents and sleeping bag in a bag, I'm using Hydrocraft so I'm not sure if those are base game items or from the mod but once i place the items on the ground there's no option to use them, I click them and nothing. Am I missing something obvious here? And yes I was ridiculously tired when trying to sleep so that wasn't an issue.

Its the mod. Im not sure about the problem as I haven't used a tent yet, but I just came here to say it was a mod issue.

they are both very good items, just place them on the ground and walk over them like you are gonna pick them up, and you should have a rest or sleep option in the frop down menu

@print - Aha! I was walking over to them and right clicking and only getting 'walk to' but after your comment mentioning the drop down menu I looked up where you'd normally see what's in cupboards to loot them and found the sleep option! Thanks for that! I didn't know you could use that menu for things of that nature.:steamfacepalm:

EDIT: Ok turns out it still doesn't work! I see the sleep option but it's whited out and I can't click it, my charcter is ridiculously tired and there's no moodles preventing sleep. The wierd thing is I can rest, just not sleep.

yes. not sure. maybe they are permanently bugged....stinks since they are so useful. my backup is a barstool (weight of 5), or nails, saw, survival axe (or fire ax), and some carpentry skill.

Just a heads up that the Dome Tent is still bugged and cannot be used to sleep.

There is a tent in the vanilla game that does work properly. You need to find 4 tent pegs and a tarp I think and combine them into a tent kit. You should be able to left click on it and select sleep.

There is a red sleeping bag in hydrocraft that was working a week ago just fine and was my primary bed until I grabbed a real one.

After unpacking the dome tent, drop it. Once it is on the ground, and you are standing over it, click on the "floor" tab of the loot section. There, you will see the tent as an item on the ground. Right click on it IN the floor tab, and you will see the sleep option. works just fne for me.
