we need to be able to kick down doors, why are windows the only way into a locked house?

You can break doors by just hitting it with a weapon, depending on the weapon it might take a while though.

Actually, it would be nice to be able to jump out of a closed window, without delay, but with possible injuries, falling, and noise due to broken glass ..
Also, a wooden door can be destroyed by a couple of shotgun shots.

Kicking down door especially outdoor ones even if they're made out of wood is way different from what you see in movies tbh.
Breaking a window is the obviously easier and faster way inside, i don't see any reason to kick a door 10 times instead of just smashing the glass window to get inside.

I use the carpentry skill to 'remove' the window from the frame. Way easier to do, and about half the time, you get a good window you can place in an empty window frame.

Considering that shotguns are one of the most louder in the game, i doubt bring the entire city just to break a door is worth it xD

you could probably have that if you sprint and hold down the attack button you do a charge attack of sorts, which could also kick down doors and jump through windows when you run into them.

But if your plan was to loot THIS house, it's still a waste of ammo x3 Sure that'll be fun. Beside, having any random car, honk it up would bring the same effect to lure every zombies from the city if you want to scavenge the rest of the city free

Having a strength requirement to kick in a door sounds interesting.

How about also if you can "sprint" now you should be able with enough strength shoulder bash that fuc/ker gain speed and run in. Maybe to be able to kite zombies in to a house to escape through a back door ? and around and out ? its seems like this game is setup for some very nice original ideas for a zombie game potential

How often has the average joe ever shouldered a door open. There is a reason why they have rams to knock doors open, because they are not that easy to bust open with your body.
