Tab not working

I have played project zomboid forever and ever run into an issue like this but somehow I bought the game for my friend yesterday and both me and him immediately upon entering our first game encounter the inability to toggle our inventory panel modes with the tab key nor can we bind any new hotkeys for the function....

All other hotkeys care working.

I dont think the TAB key does anything with the inventory, I only know that "I" turns the inventory on and off.
You can try going to "C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid" and deleting the "Lua" folder to reset your keybindings if you feel like anything is broken though.

Hmmm maybe I am just mistaken, wouldn't be the first time I had no clue what I was talking about.
But yeah I bound tab to the I function and it feels like it should i guess I just don't remember my rebinding of keys ....
