Calm down guys. So far I haven't noticed any increased chances of infections when wearing dirty/bloody clothes, and you don't get sick just from wearing them. Try it out a little before we start panicking, you might find out that right now it's just a thing that doesn't really do that much anyways...
Well, wearing dirty clothes actually DOES increase the chance of wounds getting infection, but not the zombie virus.
The bandage matters, but I'm not seeing any references to clothes. About the only impact dirty clothes have at the moment is that you only get 1 clean rag when you tear them up. But you can clean the dirty rags with water any ways.

Washing clothes is almost impossible atm. Started a fresh save long after the latest update with 0 mods, I've raided the laundromat in Westpoint for all of it's different kinds of soaps, pharmacies, general stores, I've got liquid soap, detergent, washing soap, bars of soap, cleanser (this one does work but only sometimes oddly enough), all cleaner, etc, it's extremely rare to be able to get a soap or item that allows me to wash clothes. Currently tried raiding clothing stores but I'm slowly running out of fresh clothes.

You forgot:

E) Take new clean clothes out of dressers/shops.

Because I'm not about to wear dead guy clothes, and besides, who doesn't like raiding their neighbor's panty drawer for secondsies?

Did they seriously just add a way for clothes to get dirty, have penalties for wearing dirty clothes if you're injured, but forgot to put in a way to clean them?

Edit - So apparently they did put a way in, but you need the the pretty (ridiculously) rare Soap that's in bathrooms. And 3 units of water. Soap also only has about 10 uses.
So basically we now have to
A) run around naked,
B) strip your old zombie kills and wear their clothes,
C) continuously take your clothes on or off whenever you need to get your hands dirty, or
D) get abnormally giddy when we find Soap.

All the choices will make you act like a deranged pervert. I don't think they thought this change through when they implemented it.

Hyperbole at its best.

soap isn't hard to find.

some mods do add other items that allow the cleaning of clothes.

and... "dirty" clothes don't make you ill , just Bloody ones.

and the option isn't called "clean clothes"

its called "wash" .

also, it has to be in your main inventory, and not in a backpack.

its the apocalypse only the mentally unstable are going to survive all the 'rational' people will die in the process of denial.

I like this feature, it is a nice touch but clothes probably get dirty too fast. So just fix the soap issue and increase the time frame it takes for clothes to get dirty.

Should be laundry or regular soap mostly. Though... can probably use dish soap and others as well.... So maybe all should be able to be used? If they get dirty easy. Should be a balance with being able to have choices to clean them. Heck even water alone can help.
