Wooden floors in warehouse base counted as outdoors??
I've just recently started playing, and while I learn the ropes i decided that I wouldn't be afraid of using "cheesy" techniques like "no stairs" bases. Picked the large 2 storey warehouse on the edge of Muldraugh, and made the best use of space on the second storey by building wooden floors over the empty spaces between catwalks. Worked great, but it's counted as outdoors despite being very much roofed. The sound profile changes when you walk from the metal catwalk to the wood floors (more birds, wind), there's this "box" of light around it, and most importantly, it gets rained on. Woke up with a nasty cold since I'd put my sleeping spot there.

I know that normally, you'd build stairs and add another floor, but there are already stairs to the roof - and also, a roof! Do I have to sledgehammer the concrete roof and replace it with wood floors to fix it?

I have a base set up in mccoys and noticed this too. I built some rooms on the second floor completely closed in will doors to see if it stops the rain. Hasn’t rained again yet to test. If that doesn’t work i guess ill try to build wood floors on the roof.

The inside/outside currently only works if the new floors are completely walled off (preferably with wooden walls built by the player)
I also heard of a possible fix to your specific problem when building in the warehouse. You can try to go to your save game folder "C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid\Saves\GameMode\SaveName"
Backup the "isoregiondata" and delete or move it from the save folder. This should reset the indoor regions and maybe fix your issue, you will have to remove one wall and rebuild it for it to work though, so it creates a new region properly.

Yup. Can confirm this is still an issue. Not just with Maudraugh's large warehouse on the edge of town, but also the smaller one on the other end. Had to floor off the entire upper floor of the smaller one for it to be considered "roofed", then I realized I wanted the larger warehouse lol, so now I have to floor that off. I could just build my own walls, but I already knocked down all the railing :sefacepalm:
