A way to speed up time during actions?

Is there a way to auto speed up time during longer actions, such as breaking down a chair?

On the top right of the screen, under the time and temperature, you can click on speed buttons (pause, play, speed, superspeed, supersuperspeed).
You can also use the F4, F5 keys.

But it won't auto slow down on action completion or zombie surprise?

If your asking for 'any way', then yes there is. You can mod the files that control how long an action takes.

I appreciate the thought but was not planning on cheating. Just, some games let time pass in world, but make it faster for actions is all, though there may be a hot key or something I am missing.

Not a deal breaker, just QoL thought

The guy is asking about a feature that will automatically press those buttons until the action is completed, not help to find those buttons.
