Burning corpses

Apologies, i searched in the past discussions but i didn't found answers. Any tips about burning corpses? I mean what's the fastest way? I tried once to start a campfire, but i wasn't able to place the corpses above it. It drops the corpses in random positions, there's no way to decide where you are going to drop the corpse. Can you place the corpse in the campfire inventory maybe?

The zombie corpse falls directly at your feet. So if you "drop" the corpse in the same spot, they will all burn when you light one up. The zombie 'facing' does not matter.

You can use a gas can, and lighter, to burn the pile. Or a campfire, is another way. Or a burning house.

I don't think burning houses down just to dispose of zombies is a good idea. An unburned house can be used to lose zombies easier when/if needed, as after it's been burned zeds can see through most of the walls. Not to mention fire spread can get out of hand really quick and before you know it, you just burned down half the town and possibly burned up some good loot in the process.

I recommend putting them in a pile and burning them that way. Don't do it on grass though.

Thanks guys, but how can i drop the body into the fire? Do i need to place it in the campfire inventory? I remember i tried already but the corpse didn't burnt. What should i do? Look towards the fire and unequip the corpse?

I think what they were saying is to make the pile first. Then ignite it.

Trying to drop more corpses onto the pile would require you to stand on the fire.

I just tried and got burned while trying to drop the corpse into the fire. But i don't get it it don't work. I face the fire and the corpse get dropped behind me. Am i getting it wrong?

The corpse drops at your feet. You cannot stand on a lit campfire and drop zombie corpses. The fire must be out.

You then stand directly on the campfire and drop hundreds of zombies if you want. When you are ready, you light the campfire and stand back. Poof, all the zombies in that pile burn.

Stackem and then rightclick on one "burn corpse" (need gas + lighter) and dont stay to close...i burnd my hand :( my char was burning but i went away after 5 sec of running around like crazy.

Just remember to not drop a zombie on top of an active fire. Or you may be the one on fire...

I tried and it works! even i expected to see a huge fire by all the corpses, instead it was a small pointless fire and the corpses disappeared. I guess this is how it works

If you have Hydrocraft and a kiln, you can use the corpses to make charcoal.

What next, draining them of blood to make fuel?

Would think it would be better to use the blood to synthesize a cure for the virus, but I guess there is probably a mod for that as well.
