Of course, if you said which named fridge it was, a lot of us could try it as well, to see if it is indeed a bug.
I found about everything else, but not that.
I think this one is the double-door found in a lot of gas stations/convenience stores. It's just two regular fridge/freezers stuck together space-wise. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's actually easier to just grab two regular fridges and no less space efficient. Those wall units in grocery and produce stores might have more fridge space but no freezer space.
I think right-clicking one piece in inventory with the other piece nearby and selecting "place" worked for me when placing those fridges.
Dragging the piece to the tablecloth looking ground icon effectively does what EnigmaGrey recommends with the transfer all button but with one item.
The little inventory windows act like like a file manger (like Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer, but the drag and drop files to copy or like how most people transfer pictures to an SD card or thumb drive). Each icon on the right side of the player inventory and proximity inventory window is like a folder; think of your backpack as a folder. If you want to move an item to a folder without opening the folder drop it right on top of the folder.
Might be a nice feature to have the moveables get a right click context menu of "drop on the ground"
How to Drop Moveable Furniture Pieces
There seems to be a bug, at least for me, when I try to drag items from one inventory window to another. Sometimes it works, but most times it does not and I have to repeat it several times before it will move.
Hyper-explicit step by step version since there's been some confusion.
With two pieces too large too hold at once:
1. Pick one piece up. Walk it to within a tile of where you want to place. Right-click the piece and drop. (rinse/repeat with 2 more pieces if it's a 4-piece object)
2. Pick the last piece up and walk to where the other piece is.
3. Right-click the piece in inventory and place or select place (down-arrow symbol) from the placement menu in the upper left (the furniture icon).
There are also 4-piece beds that can be moved this way. Usually some pieces break when you try to move if carpentry isn't high, but you can mix/match pieces from 4-piece beds of the same type as long as you have all 1-4/4 (i.e. 4 "1/4" pieces wouldn't work).
* Generators are weird. Never drag/drop to a car seat (no way to remove it). Car trunks are okay if they have 40+ space but I think you have to drag to the ground from the trunk before you can right-click and "take generator" to move them again. Unequip generators to place them.
