Sheet rope not working
I had 5 in my inventory. I right clicked on a window and all I can do is "hang sheet". There isn't an option to put it onto the window to use for a rope to go up and down from the second floor. Is this a known bug at the moment, or am I missing something here?

Also side note, how do I rotate the camera to see behind things / around corners better? I can't click certain objects because of the camera not moving. Thanks in advance.

1: First you have to craft sheetropes from sheets or clothes. Right click menu on the sheet / cloth. (IIrc you also need 1 nail in your main inventory to add sheetrope to window.)
2: You cant rotate cam.

I had the sheet ropes in my inventory and my backpack. So I'll try to see if it works with nails when/if I find any x.x

You can get nails, beside finding them, by deconstructing carpentry (ie wood) item. If you select the last option of the furniture movement menu (last top left icon), you will get a cursor that tell you what tools are needed (hammer, hammer & saw or hammer & screwdriver).

Edit : It also gives carpentry XP :D

Yes you must have nails, they are consumed in the process of installation and (from memory) the nails are not refunded if you uninstall it.

I might be wrong but you have to open the window first.

Sounds like a lot of materials / work to have a sheet rope. Wish we could tie it to a table leg or something near a window to throw out.

you mean a hammer and nails? I guess that is "a lot". For future gameplay, there are several items you should carry with you at all times to make life easier.
Hammer
Saw
Screwdriver
Wrench
Kitchen Knife

You can do pretty much everything with that

Half of those I can never seem to find. Hence why I said "a lot". I look through every house and half of the time I only find spam cans of food, a lot of reading materials, clothing and maybe some basic bath supplies. -shrug-

Hammer: pretty much everywhere
Saw: tool shed, garages and hardware stores
Screwdriver: same + car trunk
Wrench: same (including car trunk)
Knife: kitchens but you can also use hunting knifes (same as saw) or meat cleaver

Sounds like I'll need a map to find stores for the saw.

You are welcome 🙂

Also, if you are on beta (build 41), mega marts carry various goods including tools.

I don’t remember if it’s the case in build 40
