Remote play together
Does remote play together actually work in this game or is it like satalittes reign where the other player can only watch instead of play like a screenshots or split screen deal

You can simply host a server and let your friend join through the in-game invite menu.

i know that but im lok at the remote play together featur that was meant to simulate your friends all sitting on the couch with you playing on one copy. theres a few games in steam that have this tag but arnt actually that. or is this game incorrectly taged as remote play together an instead should be taged as co op. cuz its fine either way but the way remote play together is meant to work is one copy of the game lets multiple people play together like you would on an old nintendo or what ever. or does each player need a copy of the game in which that case its just a coop as option

Pretty sure it does work at least on build 41. Also any other players will have to use controllers.

yea the controllers wouldnt be a problem like its how gauntlet works an castle crashers where the screen is shared. its what im hoping for.

Works.
Remote Play only requires one party to have a copy of the game.

It works well enough. Some small bugs exist, but nothing that stops you from playing and having a good time. My friends did say they had some issues with graphical quality occasionally, likely due to their bandwidth. In a game where anything can kill you if you can't see it well enough, that could be a source of frustration.

It says multiplayer and joining a multiplayer match is disabled for beta builds.

That sounds like you’re playing build 40 instead of build 41. The Java console is disabled for the exes.

Okay it works on build 41 which is significantly better, can we expect it to be online multiplayer ready anytime soon? I let a friend play build 41 to test it via remote play and he bought it, but we can only play build 40 together, which isnt as awesome in comparison.

They're still working out the lag in multiplayer for the next build. It might be a while till testbuild let alone official release.

My friend bought a copy(I don't have one) and we're trying to play together. He got it on build 41 and I joined via remote play and got a character with split screen. But the entire time the sound was super laggy. Also our voice call audio through steam or discord was constantly cutting in and out. I honestly don't know what to try to fix here. Neither us as any call quality problems normally. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
