You can look a the food stats to see what the differences are.

Plus you want to cook and eat all the spoilable stuff before electricity gets shut off and save all your nonperishables for winter.
I wouldn't rely on the wikipedia for much information. That was before build 31. Now it's 8 cooking that allows use of a bit of rotten ingredients.
Op is right tho. A lot of skills are pretty useless right now (First aid, cooking, metalworking)
I think so. I've never even reached that high cooking. Even after 6 month games. Would be nice if cooking skill had a much bigger effect on hunger reduction. Right now you barely see a difference.
It also helps reduce any need of antidepressants or ways to reduce boredom. Plus, as any good cook knows: Just because you can survive off of the basics, doesn't mean you're living with the best food you can produce!
But I do agree with all the other posts about cooked food. Personally, I find having to cook taking too much time in the game. You need a heat source, pots/pans, and ingredients. I would rather build a base, or loot buildings. Killing zombies also makes my toon happy and engaged.
The problem is that the metal fences/walls are only slightly stronger than the tier 3 wooden ones. like maybe 25-30% stronger I think? I'd like those metal ones to be much stronger.
I know I will probably always be taking Metalworking when they buff it/add weaponcrafting to it.
