Automated Emergency Broadcast System

Hello all, with the recent addition of the EBS in build 41.28 I wanted to create a thread to share what we have learned about the system. This where players curious about the system can check to easily learn about it.



So what do we know so far?

It seems the EBS radio frequency is randomly generated at the start of every game. In order to find the frequency of your game world you must find a radio unit with "automated emergency broadcast system" in the presets first. I happened to find mine in a radio van so check vehicle radios as well. Once you learn the frequency you can add it to the preset of any radio.

The EBS will broadcast at the top of every hour (12:00, 1pm, 2pm, 13:00, 14:00 etc etc)

The broadcast will consist of weather, wind, and temperature predictions for the next two days.

Every other broadcast message seems to include a very static laced military directive or report.

Regardless of equipment type or quality there will be static and missing information in the broadcast. Nothing we can do.

For now, that is all I have learned or found about the new system. Hopefully the radio system in game will be expanded further and maybe a EBS tv program could be made. Please share what you have found yourself as well!



I would like as many people as possible to post the EBS frequency of their game. If it has not already been listed of course. Perhaps there are only certain frequencies the EBS will randomly generate into? Also list in what device you found this frequency. (vehicle, radio, walkie talkie, emergency vehicle, etc)

Hello. I know this is pretty late but I think i found out something interesting. My frequenz is 107.2. I don't have a screenshot but I heared a military report. I survived for 5 days and 18 hours and the date is the 15th of July. The report said something about order 846. I don't know anything about the american military, so I googled, and i found something about "Opportunity to obtain witnesses and other evidence in trials by court-martial". Again, I don't know anything about this stuff so it could mean something totaly different. Hope this helps

I have two frequencies to add to the list: 105.8 and 106

I started a game at one year after the apocalypse. So it's the only thing on at that point. Lol

First found it on a ValuTech Radio. Freq was 95.6

From that point on, I programmed it into every radio, HAM or walkie-talkie I picked up.

I also saw a strange message on the EBS frequency. Something like "... Oh god no-noooooo". It was right after the weather forecast and there was the static "<zzzt>" in the message.

It was not long after the power grid went off. I only saw it once and haven't seen it again since. I thought I was seeing things for a moment, but it was definitely there.

Has anyone else ever seen this on the EBS frequency?
