Offline lan server problems

I do not have internet but I do have a router and I cannot seem to have other PCs connect to my server I can click host and it will come up but when I get in and the server has started I try and get my other pc to join the server and nothing pops up. Please help! Lol

When I open the server bat it says that the upnp is disabled and I presume that’s what I would need to have enabled to have people connect to my server. How would I go about enabling that?

And also would I open the server bat and then click host in the game? Or open the server bat and join the server through the server join menu?

Setup LAN router multiplayer
----------------------------
On steam game properties, set Launch Options with
-nosteam

Create a shortcut pointing to this file and place on your desktop:
\Steam\SteamApps\common\ProjectZomboid\ProjectZomboidServer.bat

You can get the IP address of the computer hosting the server by typing in a cmd.exe
ipconfig
Write down the IPv4 Address, this is the IP you need.

The port would be: 16261

Now, run the ProjectZomboidServer.bat from the shortcut you created above.
After it is done, you run Project Zomboid.
Click on Join, create profile using the IP address and Port to connect to server. You don't need a password.

To add mods they would go in your users folder:
C:\Users\WillieSea\Zomboid\mods\
Find the mod name by opening the 'mod.info' file in a text editor, and find the line:
id=WillieSeaLR100
And then you need to edit this file so the mods will load. The name you got from the id= will be placed in the mods=
C:\Users\WillieSea\Zomboid\Server\servertest.ini
Mods=WillieSeaLR110

It never showed anything when I put in the ipv4 adress and I could no join anything it was blank. So I clicked the host button instead and it said server started and I was able to choose a world make character etc. i get in and in the little server box on the left and it said unknown external ip no router? It’s not finding my gateway some how that’s why it’s not showing up but I don’t know how to make it find it

Did you run the ProjectZomboidServer.bat and it opens its own cmd window.
And then leaving that open, did you then start Project Zomboid the game? And it opens its own cmd window and the game.

So there will be two cmd windows open, and the game.

Yes and when I open the server bat file and it’s cmd comes up and says if the server hangs here set unpn to false and then what comes next says unable to use unpn because it couldn’t find my gateway and it says I’ll have to port forward to have my server accessable to the internet A.K.A The join menu and it never come up even when I type in my ipv4 adress into the IP bar. The servers router configuration didn’t pick up my routers gateway some how but I can play a lan game with Minecraft no problem

I don't know then. Both PZ and Minecraft work fine for me with just the router, and the computers in the house hooked up to it.

Go to join server, go to the favorites panel, type in your ip address that was given to you by the cmd / ipconfig create a name and password for your self and click save, from there you click the join button :)

who ever else wants to join your LAN can do the same but make their own password and name, the name n password is just a save file, you can change it to create another character :)

*If you find a couple of days later you can't get back in, check the ipconfig again, it will change the last digit for security every now and then. You need to resave the favorite with the updated ip address, you may need to change your save file iname aswelll, you'll see the ip address in the save file name, just change that one digit :D

Ok so for me when I go to the join menu for the ip do I type in my ivp4 adress or the 127.0.0.1? And for other people who want to join do they type in my PCs ip? I’ve gotten the server up on my pc just can’t get anyone to connect, I’m making some progress lol

Oh one more question how woukd I go about changing the settings of the lan server?
