Getting Red Box "Lua errors) at the bottom right side of the screen and can't use items.

As the title suggest. When I try to use any item in the game, (food, items, weapons) etc, I get a red box appear in the bottom right side of the screen, and the items won't be used/equipped.

No mods have been used or installed, and the game has been reinstalled. This has been on the lastest official past. How can I fix this?

I would love to get some help with this, since I used to play PZ a lot back in the days! It's a wonderful game! :D

The box appears when a critical error happens.
Please go to C:\Users\Yourusername\Zomboid and grab the console.txt

Ideally, upload the content on someplace like pastebin.com and post the link here.

Your logs show a lot of mods loading and I saw you have an inventory mod of some kind installed. Your logs are showing an exception error and it looks related. But I gues nasKo would know more.

Hmm well I do have all mods disabled atm, and when I did play they were uninstalled. But if this is the case. How can I play "cleanly?"

If it was me, I'd just unsubsubscribe to all the mods and do a clean install of the game. THEN, if you want mods, install one at a time until you find the ones breaking your game. I'm not an expert though, so I'm sure someone else has a better solution

Well I could try that, but still it confuses me how the mods affect the game since they are disabled, but oh well. I'll try it haha

Some mods do not necessarily contain themselves to the 'workshop' folder.
Also, if you ever in the past manually installed any mods into the game folders, that could cause a problem since it has replaced game files, and thus cannot be 'removed'. I have a graphic change I made to the UI, where the player status icons are, I added numbers to each level, so at a glance it would be easier to know my status on various things. It replaced a game file, so it always is enabled and there is no selection for it.

Along with what WillieSea is saying.. you could also try verifying integrity of the game. But ya what WillieSea is saying is right, I'd personally also to unsubscribe from all the mods..

@BooHasan I was just responding to the log you posted, it was showing lots of mods loading. If the problem is still happening after all this advice, post your logs again.

Alright, error fixed, reinstalled the game, without any mods. I will try and enable 1 at a time, to see what the issue was.
