Can sheet ropes break? [solved]
Hi,

I try the sheet rope as only wait in / out in my base.
But I noticed that, after many days of climbing it up and down, it seems worn. I wanted to change it, but I can no longer take it off, for some reason.

So, I'm wondering, does this sheet rope will finally be totally worn out and break when I'll climb it? That would be terrible...

And is there another way to take off a worn sheet rope? I know you usually right click on it, but since it's worn, I no longer have the related option.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Do you have a hammer on your character? I think you need one to remove the rope.
Also you can usually "remove" things with a sledgehammer, if you have one it might worth a try.

Oh, of course! I'm stupid, I forgot this good old sledgehammer. ^^
Must be a bit tired. ;)

Yeah, now you say it, sometimes there's zombies near the sheet rope... I never saw them attack it, but maybe it's them who did this.

Thank you! :)

Well, in fact I can't destroy the rope using the sledgehammer either (can't target it).
I'll have to brake the entire wall in ordrer to put a new sheet rope. :/

You don't have to use the sledgehammer to remove the sheet rope. I think you just need a regular hammer and right click on the window that houses your sheet rope and select "remove sheet rope."

Ah. Well I have never even had this issue. I have always been able to remove sheet ropes. So I don't know then.

I think I finally got the problem, and it has nothing to do with the fact the rope looks worn. But I must try to reproduce the issue to be sure it's a bug (and then post in bug tracker section).
