Vehicle Part Types Difference? (Standard, Heavy-Duty, Sport)
So, the wiki is pretty clear on the difference between the Old < Regular < Perfomance qualities; one is outright better than the other, but what's the difference with the Standard, Heavy-Duty and Sport types?
In my current game I had Regular Heavy-Duty tires on the van. But I also found Performance Standard tires. Performance is outright better stats wise, but should I put regular tires on a heavy-duty van? Or are the tires going to give out sooner because they're not heavy-duty?

Or does it have to do with the books/magazines you have to read? Like, is it a simple "Red keycard for the red door"-system, or is there more to it?

Does anyone know this?

What MeTaLAnGeR has said is how it should work, but if you've managed to attach them then... lucky you, I guess. I doubt there will be any issue with adding the standard tires to the heavy duty vehicle, since the stats are identical.

The books will only give you an exp multiplier after you've finished the book, and magazines allow you to add and remove parts on a particular vehicle type.

... They are the three types of cars:

Heavy-Duty: Trucks/Ambulances/whatever big vehicle.
Standard: Normal cars, they don't look fancy.
Sport: fancy looking, small and really fast cars.

In your situation, you have a Heavy Duty vehicle, and found good tires for a Standard vehicle.

They won't fit.

You need to find are: Performance Heavy-Duty tires.

Good luck.

But I already attached them to the car, so this isn't true, lol.

Then something in your telling doesn't match. But yeah, I don't care nonetheless. *chuckles*

Then why respond at all? Let someone else respond who's not a pretentious jerk.

Alrighty, gotcha! It seems like the car type I was stripping for the tires was apparently also a heavy-duty car, despite really not looking like it.So that's entirely on me.

Additionally, after rechecking the wiki and looking for the proper keywords; and also understanding the magazines are like keycards, I noticed that it's actually described there as well, meaning I was just being a collossal dumdum.

Thanks for the explanation and the correction!

Just to clarify a bit, finishing a book gives you the max XP bonus, but you do get smaller boosts throughout the book as well. So you don't necessarily have to read the whole book for a decent boost, at least not the earlier books.
