Panic?
Is it true if you survive for long enough you stop getting paniced from seeing zombies?

Not really any downside to panic other than a slight accuracy loss and narrower vision. I thought at first it would send sadness through the roof from all the stress but does not seem to affect it. To test it I made a Toon in my current game that now ALWAYS panics, panics over just about everything due to taking nearly all the panick related traits (Agoraphobic, hemophobic, cowardly BUT NOT clausterphobic cuz you gotta sleep) , and took the bonus to run while panicking trait. The result was almost negligible other than the extra points. Cant really panic at the sight of zombies if you are already at max panic just from walking outside. I still get the sound when a zombie is spotted to give me the warning at least, but panic is already maxed. Kinda the opposite of the "brave" trait.

The upsides are: Lots of extra points to spend. An almost unnoticible speed increase when panic is maxed. If I ever do this type of character again i would probably skip Adrenaline Junkie entirely, waste of 8 points.

Downsides are: Unnoticible accuracy and vision decrease. Takes a minute or two to calm down when you get indoors so you can go to sleep.

Honestly I thought it would be a lot worse of a character but she's a wee trail leaving lil trooper.

In my experience, I would say no. I always take the 'Brave' trait. It works great at first, I hardly ever have panic. But as soon as I have killed a few hundred zombies, suddenly I am getting paniced by 3 zombies. So it's like there is a bug in the code for 'brave'.

Sorry, I never play without Brave, so I am not certain if you do get less panic after killing a number of zombies. Perhaps you do, but that bonus overrides the 'Brave' trait bonus, which makes it so I get paniced.

Even if you survive for more then 12 months, you still get panic.

Me too.

From what I heard you get paniced less easily with time. Still, if zombies (even few of them) are discovered behind/next to you and very close to you, you'll get paniced quickly (it gets even worse when you turn your back). If you can see them coming from some meters away, you'll barely get paniced if there are few of them, as long as you don't turn away.

It would be "nice" if one could have a sudden heart attack (and possibly die/treat it with some medication) or develop some permanent quirks due to high stress.

The only bad impact panic has in-game is accuracy loss on guns, everything else is more than manageable, and if you use my combo with a strong knife guy, then it becomes obsolete.
One shot grabbles handles every zombie, and if they clutch together then you shove 'em away and take those down you're able to before the others arise again or catch up.
If you have a burning passion for guns, then just saw-off a shotgun, and aim for min. 2 sec before shooting at a large crowd, that usually takes down 2-5 per shot, this'll probably be your best way to level up shooting skills when being constantly panicked, remember to chow down some beta blockers before combat to manage the stress ;)
