Can't claim safehouse - occupied building
I run a dedicated server for multiplayer. I had to change a few settings and do a server reset, and now the house I had claimed as a safehouse was released (to be expected), but when I try to re-claim it, the game tells me it is occupied and cannot be cleared until there is no one else in the house. With the server empty, and the house completely cleared of zombies, I still have this issue. I have checked every square inch, and made sure there were no dead bodies within 2-3 tiles around the house, yet I still have this issue, even when I reset the server again.

Is there a way I can override this, or another way as an admin to clear out the specific area to allow me to reclaim the safehouse? Thank you.

i don't think? admin can claim houses could try disabling it an then claiming it. but i've not used admin much in this. could just be a zombie somewhere in the house you're over looking. i think you need to have a decent line of sight to most of teh rooms too

I have it set to where players and admins can claim safehouses. There are absolutely no zombies in the house, I've triple checked every single room, so I have no idea what's going on.

try deleting your user or creating a new one

I'm having this same exact problem, except I had a friend claim it then pass ownership to me last night. However, before we logged on this morning, i took the server down and put it back up without changing anything. When we logged on it reverted ownership of the safehouse back to my identity on the Host version of the game, I did a full migration to dedi.

I have still same problem with this
I have admin rights but I can't claim safehouse because is telling me is occupied
No one is there, I checked thousand times, no zombies nearby and I don't know what to do?
Is there an option to claim this by admin force?

The safehouse function was intended for smaller buildings like a hardware store or a house.
I think i read somewhere that you're only able to claim a house on max. 200 tiles, so if you're trying to take the rosewood prison or a Gigamart I'm sorry to say but that ain't viable.

Other than that you need to clear all containers and zombie corpses, make sure no other player is within 10 tiles of the building or so and that no "alive" zombies remain in the building... thats at least what I've learnt thus far
hope it helps :)

I have found that if a car is parked too close to the house you want to claim, that can lead to the 'occupied building' blocker.
