Winter is coming...Is it even possible?

The winter aspect is no biggie. What drives me crazy is that there is less loot, all perishables are rotten, and there are an immense amount of zombies everywhere you go. I know it's a challenge, but how are you expected to do it? There is nowhere i can go without being swarmed by an army of zombies. They break through windows almost instantly, making loot runs complete suicide. Stealth simply isn't an option. attracting one just starts a chain reaction of attracting them all.

its a mixture of stealth and using distractions. have you considered setting up distractions and using sacrafice zones to clear out areas to loot? for me winter is a biggie because of the cold, which makes doing theses kind of ops dangerous due to the effects of cold.

Make a campfire, and shoot with a pistol, burn them all and walk in circles to avoid burning zombies, then you will have almost half the city empty of zombies...

With a bit of practice with the campfires, is very easy deal with horde sof zombies...

I hadn't considered using campfires to kill zombies, that's really viable? How much does fire spread? i hope i don't have to be a mile away from houses to keep the loot from burning

I personally don't like this tactic as fire can potentially spread forever, especially if it starts on grass. Also zombies have a bad habit of starting any nearby buildings on fire as well. I recommend just keeping some weapons on you, sneak and try to pull just a few at a time. If combat is an issue for you, you just need to remember keep moving and always watch your back. Also make sure you are charging your swings for a couple of seconds for maximum damage.

Fighting is not an option. There are way way too many zombies. And i worry that they'll eventually respawn anyway.
