Cooked rice gives 13 unhappiness?
First time actually cooking rice so I don't know if this is a bug but it seems ridiculous that cooked rice should give that big a penalty.

edit: Forgot to add that raw rice seems to give less unhappiness per hunger satisfied.

Yeah, that's the one thing I haven't been able to find on this otherwise pretty good run through. Still, it seems weird that raw rice would have a lower overall mood penalty than when cooked. One box of rice gives +40 unhappiness (4 units), cooked rice gives +13 per unit when warm and 20 when cold.

Yeah, something is very off with this and also insulation. I tried to start a run in January, and quickly found that there are simply no clothes with insulation. Gave up on that run pretty quickly.

Its because the devs are implementing a new indepth insulation system which they showcased on the thursdoid.

I would just like to say outright, a ham sandwich has never made me unhappy. In fact most food hasn't caused some bout of depression IRL so i have no idea why it's like this in game.

I'f found with sandwiches the bread's condition determines freshness(so if you start with stale bread, you get a stale sandwich) burgers work as normal(and are better since they cna be cooked). so we'll need to re-ask, was it fresh(the bread that is)

Seasonings make the world go round. even ketchup on a ham sandwich does wonders. I had only found 1 salt and 1 pepper through a LOT of houses. never hit any big grocery stores. But in my regular 40 playthrus i always get as much spice and condiments as i can find so that the boring food is made happier.

Ever since I was taken out by a horde over 100, no joke, in the old build I don't go into the supermarkets anymore. Still get flash backs of the amount that were in there.

Could we also talk about the fact that pie still doesn’t make you happy? :(

I've noticed that cooked food gets an increase in unhappiness over time if let outside instead of inside a fridge. And even then, you have to heat it up again, as some food items have a "better hot" note.
