Does this actually work? I recall reading that you can't power the pumps with a generator. Did they change that in an update?
Also i forgot i got a baseball bat as a drop from a zombie, so not too upset about non renewable glue, but still annoying.
no. just enough that you will have to go out of your way to use it all. and then it'd take quite awhile.
i forget which country it was. But one is moveing over to all crop made fuels. Also while petrochems take lot of chems to make. And break down into the components. Ethonol is easier and better gmh at last survey.
Also while you can make home made fuel this way. Can not make petro at home. I forget exact recipie atm.. but ethonal other then what find on a farm you need one or two chems as catalyst. Though home made atm is small scale true. It is doable in this type of setting. And if have horses can always make old glue. "i dont recall practice so cant say how its done sorry".
Draw back to corn is yes it takes large fields to produce in mass. BUT unlike ptero is renewable. So for small town it is doable. For a country... maybe not. But in post apoc SHTF gas would be useless. As im sure you know. Stabalizers only work for so long. So gas as long term i agree isnt possible. But corn would be. As less people driveing. More fuel can be stretched to come.
Ethanol as a gas substitute has been around for a long time, and it's basically highly distilled corn liquor. It's not as efficient or safe for cars as gas but in a post apocalyptic survival situation, if you have enough corn you'd probably make due.
