Project Zomboid

More info in Keen Hearing and Eagle Eyed?
How do Keen Hearing and Eagle Eyed work? I can't seem to find examples of their use in game.

Based on the description I'm thinking Eagle eyed makes the fov wider, but the downside is zed disappear faster. Is that accurate?

Keen hearing based on the description makes me think it gives me a little more vision behind my character, letting me react to sneaky zombies without having to 360 so often. Is that the case, or does it only increase the radius that I may hear sounds?

Thanks btw

Eagle Eyed give you more FOV and doesn't make zed disappear faster as far as I know, Keen hearing indeed gives you more perception radius on your blind spots.

(Tested this by giving myself these traits by admin mode, I could easily see the changes.)

yeah eagle eyed gives you a wider cone field of view and also slighty longer view.

And keen hearing is the same, but for your hearing. so you can hear zombies further away and if there sneaking up on you.

Yeah keen hearing is absolutely amazing. I've been able to take a smoke break on my smoker while herding a horde of zombies and feel safe.

Thanks guy, Keen Hearing is my favorite so far. Might seem like a huge crutch, but the instant fade to black behind me is annoying. I might turn it off when I get better at the game, but as far as immersion goes it makes sense to me that I would be aware of what's directly behind me, and it helps my home feel less claustrophobic.

By that I mean in real life I dont face one direction for longer than a second or two while standing still, so it's silly to me that in the game I would do the same. Just saves a lot of tedious 360. Just my opinion.
