It's a pretty robust timeframe where the core team and third party volunteers and recruits have been working diligently on the game, so have a little perspective!
That said, I imagine the game in the past and the game now won't look dramatically different (despite 60 or (lots) more non-updates, quasi-updates and actual up-dates).
On reflection, over that long long long long long stretch of time, I have:
- welcomed my third son to the world (he's in primary school now)
- rebooted a complex financial-services business, recreating all technical/underwriting, legal, operational, online, commercial, shopfront aspects of the company
- been diagnosed with cancer
- gone through a year of treatment
- gone through a watchful two years monitoring for recurrence
- been cured of cancer
- played a bunch of games, from early access to AAA that have been announced, developed and launched in the interim
Forget NPCs, there was a bit of a misdirection campaign to reorient the community toward new graphics, and vehicles and whatnot ... it was pretty successful, I think people stopped counting the sands through the hourglass on NPCs and re-started the clock for the graphics .. dunno, this was a couple of years ago now, wasn't it ? The graphics are live now, arent they ? To stave off frustration, I havent checked. I would like to play the final game one-day, but these little once-every-two-year completion visits are becoming sad.
It is nice to visit, dip the toe into the toxic cesspool and run away - reminding everybody & self that poison usually gets mixed into a meal for a profound reason, and it usually takes a bunch of imprudent and unwise people to allow it to spread into an epidemic.
I understand how people can see this as being baiting sorry for making the post like that
Thank you
