Problem with Guns Unequipping by Themselves

Anyone else have a problem with items you equip-specifically guns/rifles that unequip by themselves? If I am holding 2 handed weapon it will unequip then put something like a lighter in the second slot. How do I fix this?

Either 39.64 (IWBUMS) or the previous one. I recently came back to the game and I remember I've had it happen in the past too.

If you end up "accidentally" equipping a lighter... You may be accidentally hitting your "flashlight key". Which, if I remember is bound to "F" by default. Which is right beside the "D" key and that is a movement key. So, if you're using "WASD" to move your character around, you may be accidentally giving the "F" key a slight tap.

The Flashlight key will equip any light source in your inventory. I think it goes for the actual flashlight first, but otherwise it will have you hold your lighter on providing a smaller bit of area lighting. This does burn up the fuel in a lighter, so be careful if you need that lighter for making fires or lighting cigarettes.

Also, like Enigma said, if you're ever pressing the 1,2, or 3 key you will swap weapons. "1" equips a two-handed weapon "2" will equip a gun and "3" will equip a one-handed weapon.

Pressing them again will unequip the weapon.

Thats probably what it is. My W and 2 keys on my computer are dead and I couldn't get my controller to work so I remapped keys to e,s,d,f so I can play. Pretty sure I erased the F key for lights. It gives the option to keep both and I said no. It makes sense though because every time it does it it switches to a light either lighter, flashlight or the light attachment for guns.
