Hello guys. I need some help.
i've tried to look on forum and on the net about the composter, but i've seen no thing like that happened to me.

I've got a composter. It was full of food, like 20~30 things (fruits, vegies and meat, all rotten).
But when i look just ago many things changed...

every fruit/vegies have disapeared
all the meat is still here
3 worms are in the composter now

What's happening ? Is it suppose to be normal ?

pretty sure you have to use bags or somethinglike that with it to make it work. Hydrocraft has sooo many items, it's not well documented. I found out how to use the composter by googling. I've forgotten now but i suggest just give it some searching in the browser.

I have check, the Hydrocraft mod isn't activated.
The composter is a feature in the normal game.

The composter is working as intended, the rotten food disappears and adds to the compost that is being made (you cannot see it right now)
The worms that appeared are a good sign that it is rotting properly. After a while, you should see compost appearing in the composter.

Oh okay.
It just appear alone ? Or you need to do something else ? I heard thing about bag.

Did i need to put a bag into the composter ? Or the bag have to stay into my inventory and is to collect the compost when it pop ?

It will appear alone.

Okay :)
Thanks for the tips.

And about the worms.
Did i must to keep them inside the composter ?
Or i can pick them to fish ?
Beard Apr 4, 2018 @ 11:55pm
I am not sure about that one, I read somewhere that they speed up the compost making, but I don’t know if they really do. I usually just kept them inside; worms are cheap anyway since you can dig the same tile with a trowel and get a lot of worms.

Okay thanks :)
And do you think that if we put by ourself some worm in the composter it goes even faster ^^ ?
Beard Apr 5, 2018 @ 7:34am
I don’t think it will go faster if you add any worms. Also, you can try rightclicking the compost bin with a Sack in your inventory to see if the compost is done.

Right click on your compost bin, the process is not automatic.

The compost bin will take 2 weeks to convert rotten food into compost, the time is dependent on your saved game settings. After the time period rotten food will disappear and turn into compost, compost is a percentage listed on the individual compost bin not an item. You should notice a visual change with the compost bin when there is compost ready to harvest. If you right click on the compost bin has an option for "Get Compost (10% full)". Hovering over the option will tell you that you need at least 10% compost and an empty sandbag. You will need an empty sack, as empty sandbags have been renamed to empty sacks, to harvest compost from the bin. If your compost bin has 10% and you have an empty sack you can make a Compost Bag.

Worms appear in the compost bin when the compost bin has processed rotten food. AFAIK worms have no affect on the composting time, so pull them out to catch some fish or eat them!

In real life _DO NOT_ use meat/dairy/eggs for compost, plants tend not to like fleshy things and there is a chance it can contaminate your plants with unwanted bacteria which can spread to you. Same thing goes for pooping in your compost bin you want to use herbivore feces not carnivore feces. Luckily the in game compost bins simply don't process meat so you should be safe even if you tossed meat in your compost bin.

This is for the current IWBUMS branch 41.2 (Steam)
