UI too small Anyway to scale ui?
Resolution is 3840 x2160. Text and UI way too small to read. Lowering screen resolution looks very ungly and awakward. Thanks

Sort of did. The reason it looks so good is because EasyPickens went back over the current UI and added a ton of checks for texture width/height to force it to scale the UI properly.

You'll still get much better performance by disabling Windows DPI scaling for the game and playing at a lower res, though. e.g. 4K on my 980ti and 4 GHz processor may be able to eek out 30-40 frames, but many people trying this will be doing it on less-than-great hardware, like an Intel HD 510 and a 2 Ghz processor. (Instructions are pinned in the 4K/high res thread.)

At some point we'd rather replace it with a TrueType-style renderer so that fonts look good at all resolutions rather than have to include a whole bunch of texture sheets of a specific scale for each language. Who knows when that'll happen, though.

I ended up replacing the 4k tv with an Acer Z 35P Ultra Wide Monitor. I was shocked to see PZ supports Ultra wide when many modern games with triple the budget dont support it.

Current Resolution is 3440x1440

EVGA GTX 1080ti
I7 6700K
FPS stays above 100 unless I am using a ton of mods

I ended up going back to 1920x1080 when I play this game. 4k was just too small of a UI and no devs or support was ever given about it. Sadly not the option you want to hear.

The problem I have is that I see the interface very large, I play in the 1280x720 resolution for optimization and because it is the resolution that I always use for all games, is there any way to make the interface smaller without the use of mods?

No, it just ends up being basically the same issue just on the other side of the spectrum. I'm sure once they have a good method of scaling the UI it will come. I know that is less than ideal, but such is the nature of the beast.

I'm wondering what u mean with 1920x1080, toggle the monitor resolution or just another 1080p monitor? I change my 4k monitor's resolution but unfortunately it blurs.

They probably mean that they just put the game res down to 1920x1080 for Zomboid.

Do you look at dates of posts? I posted this in 2018, when there wasnt UI support. Its supported now. Might check your dates before replying in 2018 and even in late 2021 4k UI required a MOD to make it viewable properly. It was too small in 4k back in the day.

Now both ultrawide and 4k scaling is supported so much better than 4 years ago, when I made this post

yeah, when I had my 4k connected, I downscaled to 1080p to see ui better

That's what I thought, because it's what I do at the moment on my 4k screen. Lol

Actually I did checked the dates, I thought it remain the same issue. LOL. I'm suffering scaling issues now even u mentioned that 4K scaling was supported this year. When I downscale my monitor, it blurs and the game won't start properly. Thanks for your explanation.

oh my apologies. If your monitor blurs, it might be because it is using 4k and 1080 looks like crap on 4k? I know that was my issue lol

here is an old thread with the fix
